We Participate in Operations Christmas Child

On November 8th, 25+ members of our team gathered together to pack 150 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.

Operation Christmas Child is a project through Samaritan's Purse that inspires churches, businesses, organizations, and individuals to collect shoebox gifts-filled with fun toys, school supplies, and hygiene items. These boxes are then delivered to children in need around the world to demonstrate God's love in a tangible way.

Many of the children have not heard about the good news of Christ or Christmas in any other way besides these shoeboxes. As of today there has been over 188+ million shoeboxes sent across the nations on behalf of Samaritan's Purse.

We at ONUG Communications chose to do 150 boxes so that we could provide 25 to each of the listed options for gender and age. The groups include: boys and girls from ages 2-4, boys and girls from ages 5-9, and boys and girls ages 10-14. If you find yourself inspired this holiday season and would like to give back, check out this page on Samaritan's Purse's website that has gift suggestions per box: https://lnkd.in/gnUaTtS

Tithing is an essential part of our mission at ONUG Communications and we were happy to give back to OCC once again. The team at ONUG enthusiastically contributed to all of the event preparations, filling of the shoeboxes, good community, and the joy of knowing that 150 children will receive the joy that Christmas brings in a tangible way.
