Nate Hagerty joins our leadership team

Raleigh, NC – March 8, 2023 – ONUG Communications is proud to announce the hire of Mr. Nathaniel “Nate” Hagerty as our Vice President and General Manager. Hagerty brings over 20 years of combined experience in various leadership roles. He was born and raised in Forest, Virginia, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from Virginia Tech.

In his combined role of Vice President and General Manager, Hagerty will integrate al

l major functions of business to execute the vision and goals of ONUG Communications. These major functions include sales, marketing, operations, people, and finance. He will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure all departments are working together effectively to follow through on strategic plans.

“As ONUG continues to grow both nationally and internationally, it is critical that we fill key leadership roles with experienced and strategic thinkers. Nate Hagerty’s 20 years of experience in various leadership roles, and his Engineering and MBA degrees have uniquely qualified him for the role of Integrator at ONUG,” states Danny Huffman, President of ONUG Communications. “In his new position, Nate will be integral to the execution of the plan and vison of the organization. It is not often that you find a person with the right education, experience, and excellent cultural fit for a leadership position; we believe we have, in Nate.”

Nate Hagerty is currently transitioning from the Rosewood Family of Companies where he served as Executive Vice President for their InDemand Services unit for over four years. Prior to 2010, Hagerty was a Mechanical Engineer for BW Container Systems. In this role, he focused on improving efficiency in food and beverage packaging by designing a range of conveying systems that were manufactured to handle an array of products; these products included cans, bottles, cases, and more. This background in engineering, coupled with his interest and understanding of organizational leadership and development, enabled Hagerty to step into various leadership roles throughout his career such as Vice President of Operations and Product Owner of Cruxos. Hagerty was the visionary for each stage of Cruxos development, ensuring the seamless integration of technology to dramatically improve multinational operations at ProVantage.

He has provided work and growth opportunities for over 12,000 employees. “Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to lead great teams and manage great people. I have been extremely proud to watch countless individuals develop, get promoted, and grow under my leadership,” shares Hagerty.

His hardworking spirit goes beyond the computer desk. He picked up the hobby of weightlifting and bodybuilding back in 2005 and has won several competitions over the years. There was a period that he stepped away from bodybuilding to prioritize family time, but he recently returned to the competition scene. Despite taking several years off, Hagerty took first place in the 2022 OCB Carolina Fitness Festival. When not in the gym lifting weights, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.

Hagerty’s track record of steering strategic planning to achieve both short- and long-term growth, and his passion for solving complex business needs, will be utilized in his new role here at ONUG Communications.
